From its humble beginnings in 2007 in small-town Nova Scotia, Pink Shirt Day has spread across the globe as a way to take a stand against bullying and to show support for those who have been affected by it in schools, workplaces, homes, and online. Last year alone, people in almost 180 countries shared their support of Pink Shirt Day through social media posts and donations. On February 26, 2020, we encourage everyone at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board to practice kindness and wear pink to school or work to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying. The focus for 2020 is “lift each other up.”
Looking forward to seeing everyone in their pink!
