On March 21st, 2022, the Waterloo Wellington Down Syndrome Society is celebrating World Down Syndrome Day along with millions of others around the world. Every year we celebrate on 3/21, because individuals with Down syndrome have 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. Bringing awareness to Down syndrome is really important as it can lead to more opportunities for people with Down syndrome and a more inclusive society that benefits everyone.

Saints are encouraged to wear their colourful or mismatched socks on Monday! Colourful socks look a little like chromosomes and are a fun way to celebrate. Whatever the colour and design, whether mismatched or matched, socks are socks and people are people, with or without Down syndrome. Because it is the first day back after March Break, we are reminding you again today!

We are looking forward to seeing all of our Saints students tomorrow! We have missed you!
