Public Health provided the first of two doses of Hepatitis B and HPV to Grade 7 students (with parent/guardian consent) in the fall of 2019. Most schools, with two to three exceptions, also received Menactra®, the Meningococcal vaccine. The second doses of Hepatitis B and HPV vaccines were scheduled to take place during spring clinics. However, Public Health was unable to provide these school-based clinics due to school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public Health immunization clinics remain closed at this time. If your child participated in the school immunization program during the 2019/2020 school year and did not complete their Hepatitis B, HPV and Meningococcal immunizations, please call your family physician to provide the immunization or call Public Health at 519-575-4400 if you have any questions or concerns.
