Happy Father’s Day

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board wishes to extend our best wishes for a most blessed Father’s Day! We would love to honour all the dads who support and nurture our most precious gift, the students of WCDSB! During this time we realize that heading out to purchase a token of appreciation may still be somewhat problematic so with this consideration we would ask that you please have your child open the following link and present the “gift” wherein to you!  Happy Father’s Day!

Principal Update

As the 2019-20 school year is drawing to a close, I want to express my sincere thanks to staff and families who have supported all of our activities throughout the year, our school bus drivers, crossing guard, parent volunteers for working with us in so many capacities and making our school a great place for all of us, Catholic School Advisory Council for their exceptional efforts this school year and lastly the students for trying to do their best academically and socially/emotionally. This certainly has been an unprecedented school year for many reasons. Gratitude to all for supporting our learners through Teacher-Led Distance learning due to the school closure period and COVID-19.

To our Grade 8 graduating class: we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours at high school. We sincerely hope that your experiences as a Saint have been memorable, spiritually enriching, and personally rewarding. We hope that the Graduation Video, gift and Graduation Caravan serves as our celebration of your hard work and efforts while at St. Clement School. “See” you Tuesday, Grads!

This month we celebrate Father’s Day. To all fathers and those who do the work of fathers in caring for children, may God bless you for all you do. Happy Father’s Day on June 21st.

Father’s Day Prayer

Lord we give thanks for fathers,

for their love and affection,

for their support and guidance,

for their humour and playfulness.

Bless all fathers and help them to continue

to model God’s unconditional love.

Amen

With the end of the school year comes some change. We wish the following staff members a fond farewell and best of luck and a warm welcome to our new staff:

  • Ms. Winter who will be working as a Daily Occasional Supply Teacher within Waterloo Catholic District School Board
  • Ms. Rawski who is pursuing other interests within the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.
  • And Ms. Cairney who is retiring and we wished a good-bye and good-luck to in a former Newswire

  • Welcome to Miss Spiak who will be joining the Junior division at St. Clement Catholic Elementary School
  • Welcome to Mr. Robles who will be our new Administrative Assistant at St. Clement Catholic Elementary School

Renovations have been started and it is exciting to see the progress. We look forward to our fresh start in September and are excited to see the new changes.

We wish all our families and staff a relaxing and safe summer break. May God bless our community with health and happiness. We pray that all staff and students be blessed with a safe and Holy summer.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Dafoe

Volunteer Needed

Hello Families,

I hope you are enjoying this sunny day and are staying safe.

We need your help.

We have been faced with the possibility of discontinuing a program that would be a great loss to our community.

We are in need of a volunteer for our Nutrition For Learning Program.

This position involves being responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the Student Nutrition Program. Responsibilities include; creating menus, develop a program budget to monitor the cost of the menu items, placing a weekly food order, sorting the order in bins for each classroom. If you are considering this, kindly contact the office for more information. The estimated time commitment would be 5 – 10 hours a week.

Please contact kayla.moura@wcdsb.ca if you are interested in helping out our school and contributing time to this worthy program. I know we can pull together and support this wonderful initiative.

Thank you for considering.
