Today is International Nurses Day which is recognized on May 12th and is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. We want to extend our deepest gratitude for the contributions and heroic actions of nurses especially during the pandemic.
Several years ago, we established a very easy-to-use online pre-registration portal to make the registration process as convenient as possible.
Parents of children scheduled to begin JK in September 2020, are encouraged to complete the pre-registration process as soon as possible.
There will still need to be some in-person contact with the school, but that will be handled at an appropriate time after the COVID-19 crisis has passed.
For non-Catholic families wishing to register in a WCDSB elementary school, your school Principal will reach out to you to complete the required interview process – again – at an appropriate time in in the most appropriate manner, including via phone.
If you are interested in enrolling your child into the Extended Day Program for 2020-2021 school year, please visit https://www.wcdsb.ca/our-schools/register-for-school/extended-day-program/ and follow the Extended Day Program links to register.
Please consider joining us at our last meeting of the year on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 6:30 pm. We will be connecting virtually through Google Meet. If you are interested in joining our conversation, please email Andrea.Dafoe@wcdsb.ca to receive the meeting link.
Good Morning Saints:
I hope that all of our moms, grandmas, aunts and family friends who love our Saints had a very blessed Mother’s Day!
I pray that Saints families are well and remaining safe as we all follow the public health recommendations. I want to take some time to thank all of you who are frontline, emergency, or essential service workers. I appreciate your courage and heroism. May God bless you and keep you safe while you service our community.
Last week we celebrated Catholic Education Week. Our wish is that this week helped to “Ignite Hope” for you during this time. We are anticipating and looking forward to seeing you again.
We appreciate the efforts that families are putting into Teacher-Led Remote Learning. It is strong in our community and while we understand everyone is working at their own pace, teachers are still taking virtual attendance through student/parent activity on the virtual platform and contact with students or families. Teachers will follow up with a personal phone call or email if we have not heard from you at least once a week to check in, to see if everything is okay and to offer help with any platform learning. Kindly respond to these phone calls or emails as we will continue to call until we are able to reach you.

We would love to honour all the women who support and nurture our most precious gift, the students of WCDSB! During this time we realize that heading out to purchase a token of appreciation is not possible so with this consideration we would ask that you please have your child open the following link and present the “gift” wherein to you!
Happy Mother’s Day!
