Thursday, October 31

  • Happy Halloween – students are encouraged to wear non-violent themed costumes. Please avoid overly scary costumes. Weapons/masks or small access should stay at home. We are not responsible for lost or damaged costumes. Orange/black is a good suggestion for students who do not want to wear a costume. Parents are encouraged not to send home baked treats – this is a safe schools concern (Allergies from baked goods, etc.). Instead consider items like a pencil, eraser, or stickers if you are sending something in. Yes, students can bring in treats for each other, but not home baked, and we encourage something alternative like stickers/pencils for health reasons. We are not banning treats- just encouraging a healthier option as they will get lots of treats on Halloween. Use your discretion with masks…Spiderman is not Spiderman without the mask right? If they are in class working – masks off – but an appropriate time at teacher discretion…it should be fine.

Student Safety

Thank you to all of those parents that continue to walk your child to school. If you do chose to drive your child to school, please park on the side streets avoiding the bus pick up and drop off. As well, avoid Lobsinger Line which has no parking due to the fire routes and the cross walk. Please allow students to safely cross Lobsinger Line with the crossing guard and avoid parking in this area and obey all traffic signs.

Thank you for your support of student safety.

As well, there has been a change in the date for the bus evacuation drill for students. Bus evacuation drills will be on Oct. 22nd.
