Recess: We will continue to separate students on the yard by “zones” – Kindergarten, Primary, Junior, and Intermediate. Students will have designated line-up spots and will be expected to physically distance themselves while walking in lines to enter and exit the building.

Current Grade 5 & 8 students will be bringing home an envelope with important information. The envelope contains your child’s results and a parent guide regarding the CCAT and CAT testing that was completed last year.

Agendas for Grades 1-8 are available for all. We ask that you pay $5 on Cash Online to recover a portion of the costs. Please review with your child and sign where indicated. Kindergarten students will be using the communication of learning system.

Allergy Alert & Medical Information: Please do not send your student to school with peanuts or any scented product (including perfume, hairspray, lotion, sanitizer). We are trying to keep all of our staff and students safe. If you are new to our school or if your child has a new medical condition, please email Mrs. Simpson with this information. A very important reminder that all medicine coming to school must be a prescription from a medical doctor. Please review the policy here.

On September 23rd our school will be proudly participating in the Terry Fox School Run. Over 9,000 schools across Canada are taking part in the run this year and that means that over 3 million students will be fundraising for cancer research in Terry’s name. This is one of our most favourite events of the year – we get to celebrate the life of Terry Fox, his Marathon of Hope, and show our incredible school spirit as we come together to help others.

We all know that Terry Fox is one of our greatest Canadian heroes but sometimes we forget how hard his struggle was and why we continue to do the Terry Fox Run every year. Our event this year is an opportunity to take action, show leadership, and set examples of compassion and kindness towards others. Students will be staying on school grounds and each class will have an opportunity to participate remaining in their division (Kindergarten- Grade 3 and Grade 4- Grade 8). Each student will receive a freezie treat after their run/ walk. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have an issue or concern with this. Please send your child to school prepared with running shoes, a water bottle, and a red/ white outfit to show support for our Canadian hero!

Please consider supporting us in our mission, and help us raise funds for cancer research. You can make an online contribution through the St. Clement school page at https://schools.terryfox.ca/15988/donate

Thank you for your support on behalf of the staff at St. Clement School. “Where each one counts!”
